Pardon our dust!
In Janurary 2016 the Harmony House Inn welcomed new owners:
Gretchen and Tracy Du Peza. They are are excited to bring new life and restore orginal flavor to the Inn. Plans include infusing the Inn with a mixture of American Colonial and European styling.
Currently, the Inn is going through many changes. When renovations are completed the Inn will emcompass a fully functional commercial kitchen and expanded dining room. Plus, other behind the scenes enhancements. Business will continue as usual during our renovations. We apologise in advance for any noise or other inconvience this may cause during your stay.
Thanks in advance - we appreciate your understanding.

The Harmony House Inn is an 8,000 square foot, two-story home located in the heart of the historic district of New Bern, North Carolina. Four blocks from the historic Tryon Palace and one block from the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center. This totally restored historic property has run as a successful Bed and Breakfast since 1985.
Harmony House is furnished with the unique blend of European, African, and American Art, locally handcrafted furniture, and antiques. The soft pastel colors of the walls set off the hard wood beds and colorful comforters. This unusually spacious house features eight luxurious suites. All of these lovely appointed oversized rooms with ten foot ceilings are filled with antiques, some reproductions done by local craft persons and historic memorabilia.
Look what we found!
This silverplate fork with engraved initials 'BEE" was discovered in a closet wall during our first week of renovation - a remnant from the original family who built the home in 1853 - Benjamin and Eliza Ellis.
Watch this space for progress on the renovation or check out our Facebook page.
Or come see for yourself by booking a night at our historic Inn - view first hand- while walls are open- the original construction of this Greek Revival home.
